The Role of the Family and Student Support Liaison

The Winnisquam Regional School District Student and Family Support Liaison is an important resource for all of our district families. The liaison will

  • Value and respect individuality

  • Offer support that is compassionate and family centered

  • Treat each family with dignity

  • Advocate and champion the rights of parents, guardians and students

  • Promote the well being of families

  • Work to remove barriers to education for all families

The liaison can help families access a broad array of support and services including:

  • Assistance with the McKinney-Vento Act services

  • Food Insecurity Resources

  • Access to local holiday assistance programs

  • Explanation of programs such as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)

  • School supplies, backpacks, hygiene kits and clothing for families in need and not necessarily eligible for homeless services
